The sacred birds of Zerl were written by an outline drawing of each and every one; but
\nthe pronunciation (in imitation of its speech) was different in the whole of the thirty-four
\ntribes. The tame quadrupeds had fewer names. In Iz or Ez there were but twenty-two
\ntribes, and, being the most sacred tribes of the west of the continent, their pronunciation
\nvaried less. Eolin said: Because Iz hath kept my commandments holy, I have bestowed a
\nnew tablet (Kii)<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Na’ah or na’ok, – house.
\nSho’ah. – rich country.
\nBa’a, – evil.
\nAman, – steadfast.
\nEden, – foundation.
\nSam’-Or, – the three sacred lights; thus, Sam three, Or, light.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Le’bab, – heart.
\nRe’gel, – foot.
\nBe’ged, – clothing.
\nDad, – breast.
\nGad’ta’ah, – the hand showeth the way as this tablet showeth; i.e., this is my hand.
\nEkef, – palm of the hand.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

3. A’bad, – destruction.
\nE’dam, – man.
\nA’yin, – eye, and also to perceive.
\nO’zen, – ear, to hear.<\/span>
\nTaf, – family.
\nResh, – head.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Off, – the birds or feathered tribes.
\nLe’bashed, – to be clothed.
\nToff, – timbrel; also psalmist.
\nMits’vah, – the enforced law, the established, the authority of judgment.
\nAy’in, – conceit, the hidden enemy in one’s own heart; they were puffed up in their
\nconceit and would not hear.
\nAr’bag’ebul, – the four quarters of the world (Kii).
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Sef’fer, – scroll, book or tablet.
\nAven’ibi, – the belief that man was once a bird. The worship of certain birds because it
\nwas believed man sprang from them, hence Aven’ibi, the idolatry of birds; the
\nphilosophy that led to the idolatry of animals.
\nAheba, – the adorable love.
\nYa’sha, – upright.
\nAlef, – foremost.
\nMan or maun, – vessel.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Ra’o, – the evil, the entity evil. As Ra, death, is to mortal things, so is Ra’o to spiritual.
\nMira, – a lamp.
\nMi’qut’so, – angular, corner.
\nKar’tugh’nuin, – magician; one with familiar spirits.
\nMaqatteroth, – an utensil for burning incense.
\nNasag, – to ascend.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

7. Te’ke’ua, – supplication.
\nOtsar, – storehouse against famine; also place for treasures.
\nRa’ka, – kingdom or king and his people, or father and his family.
\nAboda, – to labor or to make brick; also brick dried in the sun (ado’da).
\nZemar, – music, written notes of.
\nNat’sack, – chief musician.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

8. Asuk, – a pot.
\nYat’sar, – potter.
\nBarzel or tubal, – iron.
\nOs’ka’gar, – sun, moon and stars as a whole.
\nPenak, – summer and winter.
\nGu’sa’touin, – out of all things comes some good.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

9. Lechen, – bread, or bread-basket, or food, or food-basket.
\nAsen, – evil hand, or power to cast spell.
\nAssogen, – evil foot, or power to walk around one’s house and so cast evil on the house
\nand family.
\nE’o’ten, – the All Provider, the sign of offering.
\nEdan, – prophecy.
\nHoe’dan, – angel visitation, or the manner of prophecy.<\/span>

\n<\/span>10. Edam’ah, – country, or the earth or the lands.
\nE’lo’ih, – Jehovih.
\nBa’ra, – the created world.
\nOfel, – darkness.
\nOr, – light.
\nEo’sor, – organized, i.e., the light and darkness were created, and all things on the
\nearth became organized.
