The Lord’s Fourth Book Chapter 3, Chapter 4<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Chapter 3<\/span><\/p>\n

1. For two years the migrants tarried in the countries they visited; going much about,
\nshowing themselves, and relating a history of the country whence they came.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Thence spake the Lord to the migrants in their respective places, saying: Behold, the
\ntime is come for your departure. Gather together, O my beloved, and return to your own
\ncountry, and there relate all the glories that your God hath shown you.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

3. So they departed, and returned to their own respective places. And, behold, it took four
\nyears to accomplish the journey.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Now during the travel of the migrants the Lord spake to them every day; through the
\nI’hin priests spake the Lord unto them.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

5. The Lord said: Keep together, O my beloved. I will lead you; ye shall not be lost.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Nevertheless, the journey was so long that many lost faith, and were not heedful of the
\nwords of God. And some of them strayed off amongst the I’huans, the barbarians, and
\nwere lost.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

7. Of the six thousand migrants, there were lost ten tribes; in all, three hundred and
\neighty-six people, men and women. Some were lost in one place and some in another.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

8. God said: Sing ye songs of lamentations to my chosen who are lost, the Faithists
\nin Jehovih. For this also shall become a matter of record to the end of the world.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

9. Nevertheless, a time shall come when the Lord your God shall reveal the mystery of
\nthis day.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

10. So, when the people had returned to their respective places, behold they all sang songs
\nof lamentation for the tribes that were lost.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

11. God said: I have shown you the far-off people; I have marked out the road. Keep the
\nroad open; keep the travel open between the great countries I have shown you.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

12. Every eleven years shall one expedition start to the far-off countries. And, if
\nperchance ye find my chosen, bring them home.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

13. And on all the camping places of your journey shall ye build an altar to the Lord your
\nGod. In a circle shall ye build it; and the congregation shall sit in the circle thereof, but
\nthe priest shall sit in the midst. And, behold, I will speak in the mouth of my priest words
\nof wisdom and comfort.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

14. But, in all your journeys, keep aloof from the I’huans, the barbarians, the man-eaters.
\nFor they kept not my commandments; nor preserved they their seed through the
\ncircumcision.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

15. But they mixed with the druks (ground people) and went down in darkness
\n(barbarism).
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

16. Keep ye away from them, O my beloved; carry with you, on all your expeditions, I’hin
\npriests, the sacred people, the mound-builders.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

17. In your journeys ye shall encounter your brethren coming and going, who dwell in the
\nfar-off countries. That ye may distinguish them, keep secret the sacred password and the
\nrites of my chavah (order).<\/span>
\n
\n<\/span>Chapter 4<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Hear the word of thy God, O man, and be considerate in thy little learning; interpreting
\nthe records of the ancients rather by the spirit than by the word.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Wherein it was constantly commanded, in the ancient sacred writings, to avoid <\/span>GOING
\nDOWN TO DESTRUCTION, <\/span>and they obeyed not the commandments of the Lord, behold ye
\nthe light of your God in this day.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

3. For the I’huans, even before the flood, were in the first place born capable of
\neverlasting life. But they mixed with the druks until the seed of the spirit of eternal life
\nbecame exhausted, and they brought forth heirs incapable of self-sustenance in heaven.
\nHence it was said of them: They went down in darkness.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Now after awhile a new race of I’huans was brought forth, and they were at first
\ncapable of All Light and of everlasting life. But they also kept not the commandments of
\nthe Lord; but also mixed with the druks (the ground people), and they descended rapidly
\non the road of everlasting death (as a race).
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

5. But the Lord your God created the new race, the Ghans, capable of an upward
\ninspiration.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

6. And he gave unto them the same commandments, to preserve their seed from the races
\nbeneath them, lest they go down in darkness also.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

7. To which end thy Lord gave unto them certain rites and ceremonies and pass-words, in
\naddition to the circumcision, which would enable them to distinguish with whom they
\nshould mingle according to the commandments of God.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

8. Behold ye then the testimony which I lay before you, that ye may perceive the wisdom
\nof my ways: For it will be said by some that there is a law of evolution whereby man
\nriseth from a lower to a higher state as the earth groweth older.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

9. But I say unto you, there is no such law. Save but by the labor of thy Lord and thy God,
\nthrough their angels, man riseth not upward; but he goeth the other way.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

10. In which matter, behold, I have left many nations and peoples before you to this day,
\nwho are on the downward road. And ye have corporeal records before you, showing you
\nthat in times past, the same countries were inhabited by a higher race.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

11. For thus Jehovih created man, to go as readily down the mountain as up it.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

12. Behold, all resurrection cometh from above; all aspiration cometh from the Lord and
\nhis angels. For man, being in the flesh, goeth rather to the desires of the flesh than to the
\nspirit.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

13. As the light of the sun causeth sleep to pass away, so doth the light of Jehovih,
\nthrough His Gods and Lords and angels, cause the soul of men to awaken to the
\npossibilities of everlasting life in the exalted heavens.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

14. This also have I, thy Lord, proven in the world: that they who fall from the light of the
\nFather, lose their symmetry and beauty of proportions.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

15. Behold, in the time of Thor, man considered not the shapeliness of his spouse, nor the
\nmold of her face, nor the clearness of her voice, nor her wit, nor conversational powers.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

16. By all stratagems, and devices, and rites and ceremonies, have the Gods and
\nLords labored to make man mindful of the way of resurrection through the tree of life.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

17. But even in this day, behold, the mother bartereth off her daughter to a rich man; and
\nthe man seeketh a spouse of wasted flesh for the sake of gold. And they bring forth heirs<\/span>
\nof crime.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

18. And man crieth out: He cannot be a good God that createth these!
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

19. But I say unto you, they keep not my commandments; they have gone astray in the
\nwilderness.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

20. Be wise, O man; from that which is before you, remember the times of the ancients,
\nand the labor of the Lord your God.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

21. In the beginning of the cycle of Thor, the Lord opened up many ways for the
\ndeliverance of the tribes of men on the earth; and man prospered in the way of God for a
\nlong season.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

22. Then darkness came upon the races of men; millions of them returned to a state of
\nsavagery. And angels of darkness came upon the earth, verily taking upon themselves the
\nsemblance of corporeal forms, and dwelling with mortals, and engaging in practices
\nwhereof it is unlawful to write or speak.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

23. So that, at the termination of three thousand years, the lands of the earth were covered
\nwith darkness.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

24. And Jehovih cast a veil over the face of the sun, and it shone not in brightness
