Various Psalms according to the Aramaic Peshitta

The following list is my rendering of various Psalms according to the Aramaic Peshitta. In some of these, the differences between the Hebrew and Aramaic are theologically opposed to one another.

Psalm 7:11
“God is a just Judge, and does not have indignation every day.”

Psalm 48:14
“For this God is our God, forever and ever! He will guide us beyond death.”

Psalm 68:11
“Mar-Yah [equivalent to Hebrew “Yahweh”] will give a word of good news with great power.”

Psalm 74:5
“You know this, because you are the Exalted One on high. They cut the doors with axes like trees of a forest.”

Psalm 89:47
“Remind me beyond the grave; because you have not created all men in vain.”

Psalm 119:48
“I will lift up my hands to your commandments, which I have loved, and will meditate on your ordinances; I will glory in your truth.”

Psalm 139:13
“Because you formed my entrails; from the womb of my mother you accepted me.”

Psalm 139:15
“My bones were not hidden from you, which you made in secret. I descended into the deepest parts of the earth; my eyes have seen my reward.”

Psalm 145:13
“Mar-Yah is faithful in his words, and just in all his works.”
