“Establishing a daily spiritual practice is auspicious, but only if it is from the heart and for the benefit of all living beings. In any spiritual practice you decide to take up, make sure it is from the Truth and not based on the false ideals and religious beliefs of those who are not of the Light. Do not neglect the practice of repentance, prayer, meditation, contemplation and study. These, my children, will lead you to perfection. The constant practising of the Twelve Virtues, regularly praying the Prayer of the Emanations, studying the Karuzuta d’Mar Mani, fasting, Alms-giving, the singing of hymns and selfless service to others are some of the central spiritual practices of the Maninaye people.” (Teaching of Mir Izgadda 79:1-4)
Akhi Shamon posts the Lectionary readings for each day in both English and Spanish. It is our tradition to read from the Gospel of Mar Mani and other texts from the Holy Book on a daily basis.
In a recent Communiqué, H.H. Mar Mani Khaila said “Akhi Shamon is doing a very good job at publishing the daily readings on a regular basis.” Akhi Shamon posts the Lectionary readings each day in English and Spanish and it is greatly appreciated.
The Arkhegos is encouraging the brethren to keep the study of the Holy Book as a priority in their lives, reading from it daily. To assist in this endeavour, he commissioned some brethren to start a weekly devotional package that contains the various readings, a weekly lesson and so on in print and digital format.
