Tomorrow (February 26, 2015) is our time to solemnly observe the annual Bema Festival, which is the memorial of the crucifixion and passing of Mar Mani. This is one of the most sacred days of the year and is a time of absolution of our sins through the giving of Alms (food offerings) or funds that can be used for the purchasing of food. If you miss providing Alms, you can do this 30 days later, but not again until next year. The giving of Alms (food) is a way in which we obtain our absolution. As taught in the Holy Book, this is by divine arrangement.
