Contemplating the Psalms

manichaean-psalms-cover“The messenger of the father heals souls, draws joy in all of us, and carries away sorrow.” — Manichaean Psalm 32:3

Manichaeans have a day, oftentimes more than once a month, called “Mazmoré Day.” Mazmoré is the plural Aramaic word for “Psalms.”

Concerning this day, our printed calendar says, “This is a day when we set aside some time to read and contemplate on one of the Psalms from our Holy Book.”
